As part of Guatecaña’s ongoing commitment to children’s education, the La Unión and Madre Tierra sugar mills donated 300 student desks, 5 teacher podiums, 5 chairs, and 18 whiteboards to benefit several schools in the municipality of Tiquisate.
The donation was formally handed over to Tiquisate’s municipal authorities, with local schoolteachers from the beneficiary institutions in attendance at the event.
This initiative aims to support local efforts to improve educational conditions for children and youth in the area, and it reaffirms the Sugarcane Agroindustry’s commitment to the well-being and development of Guatemalan communities.
